Materials used in "Bird Brain", acrylic paint, printed paper, wood, feathers, beads, & fishing tackle on canvas, with black wood boarder, 24"x24". This piece has natural movement.
April 2017, the Supreme Court confirmation rules were changed. Protocol has been abandoned, with important procedures changed to suite the agenda of the administration. Bird brain has emerged from the tar pit, his lid is becoming unhinged showing a similar darkness inside. Corrosive rhetoric is pecking away at the institutions protecting citizen and human rights. Noticeable, the only ones always spared are banks and Russia.

"Bird Brain" was selected to be part of an exhibit, in collaboration with the "In Care of the White House" project. It will be at the Montpelier Arts Center, Laurel, MD, !/13 through 2/25 2018.
" In this piece the hair and birds have some non-mechanical movement. I think this gives more feeling as to the timeliness of the theme. My next piece will have more of this kind of motion." J.K.
